My Great-Grandmother through my Father’s Mother was Edith Cowin. (b. 1897, d. 1996)

When Edith Margurite Dubs was born on November 29, 1897, in Bourges, Cher, France, her father, Henri, was 37, and her mother, Blance, was 24. She married William Elston Cowin on July 26, 1919, in Paris, France. They had two children during their marriage. She died on June 7, 1996, in Miamisburg, Ohio, at the age of 98.
Known to her family as “Nanere” – she wrote a book in 1990 titled “As I Remember It” Articles were written in The Vindicator and the Tribune Chronical about the book. Both the book and the articles are linked here.
